Cassandra‘s work draws upon the sociology of ageing, the body and physical culture. The research she undertakes in this area uses a range of integrated qualitative methods and explores the embodiment of ageing and physical activity across the life course; experiences of late onset sight loss and chronic illness; and the ‘taking place’ of health and wellbeing.
Cassandra is the primary investigator for this seminar series, along with ‘Moving Stories’ - an ESRC funded project examining the role of physical activity in shaping people’s perceptions and experiences of ageing.
