People living with a long-term conditions are increasingly responsible for managing their health. Digital health interventions are seen as a way to bridge the gap between professional care and patient led self-management. In this talk I will be presenting data from a mixed method research study evaluating the effectiveness of a digital health intervention for self-management support for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. I will discuss the challenges and opportunities of such interventions which include exercise support in the home.
Dr Manchester will discuss the Tangible Memories project, which involved co-designing technologies with older adults to decrease aspects of social isolation.
